The Cooperative Bank of
Oromia has unvieled its international card services in partnership with Visa,
marking a significant step in the bank’s digital transformation efforts.
The new offering includes a
range of Visa cards tailored to different customer segments, including the Visa
Classic Debit Card available in both conventional and interest-free options,
the Visa Classic Prepaid Card designed for travellers, and the Visa Platinum
Prepaid Card targeting premium customers.

The bank said the
introduction of the card services is aimed at enhancing customer convenience,
expanding access to global payment systems, and supporting the growing demand
for digital financial solutions.
To commemorate the launch,
the bank also unveiled the “Journey to FIFA World Cup 2026” campaign, which
will reward selected customers with fully sponsored trips to North America to
attend the tournament. Winners, along with a guest, will receive travel, accommodation,
and match tickets to experience the global football event.

Officials noted that the
initiative underscores the bank’s commitment to innovation and delivering
value-added services to its customers while strengthening its position in the
financial services sector.
