The Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) has participated in SATShow 2026 in Washington, D.C., highlighting opportunities within Africa’s growing satellite and space sector.

The delegation was led by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Jane Egerton-Idehen, who joined global industry leaders and stakeholders from across the satellite, defence, and government sectors at the event held from March 23 to 26.

SATShow 2026 brought together participants from more than 110 countries, providing a platform for discussions on market trends, emerging technologies, and strategic partnerships within the global space ecosystem.

During the event, Egerton-Idehen participated in a panel session titled “Unlocking Commercial Value in Africa’s Emerging Markets,” where she highlighted the continent’s vast growth potential and investment opportunities in satellite communications.

She emphasised the importance of leveraging Africa’s expanding digital economy and increasing demand for connectivity to drive innovation and commercial growth within the satellite industry.

NIGCOMSAT’s participation reflects ongoing efforts to position Nigeria and the broader African market as key players in the global space and satellite communications landscape.
