Zimbabwe’s
Public Service Commission has conducted a sensitisation workshop on the
Government’s electronic payslip system for senior officers of the Zimbabwe
Republic Police (ZRP), as part of efforts to advance digital transformation in
the public sector.
The
workshop, held at Morris Depot in Harare, was officiated by PSC Paymaster
Twoboy Shoko, alongside officials from the Commission’s ICT and payroll
management departments.

The
training aimed to equip Assistant Commissioners with practical knowledge of the
electronic payslip platform, focusing on system functionality, accessibility,
and secure retrieval of payslips via personal mobile devices. The initiative is
designed to improve efficiency, enhance transparency, and strengthen service
delivery within the public service.
Participants
were also introduced to the GovPay Self-Service Portal, including guidance on
accessing payroll information and utilising available support systems such as
help desk escalation channels for both active and retired public service
members.

Officials
indicated that the programme forms part of a broader government agenda to
modernise administrative processes through digital solutions and will be
cascaded across different ranks within the police service.
The
initiative underscores Zimbabwe’s ongoing commitment to leveraging technology
to streamline public sector operations and improve user experience for
government employees.
