Fidelity Bank Ghana has donated 50 high-end laptops to
support a university’s “One Student, One Laptop” initiative, aimed at enhancing
digital access and learning outcomes for students.

The donation was presented by the bank’s Managing
Director, Julian Opuni, during a brief
ceremony, as part of the institution’s broader commitment to advancing
education and equipping students with essential digital tools for modern
learning. The engagement that led to the donation was facilitated by the
university’s Institutional Advancement Directorate, reflecting its role in
fostering strategic partnerships.
Vice-Chancellor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo welcomed the gesture and
expressed appreciation to the bank for supporting the university’s strategic
priority of delivering a transformative student experience. She noted that
access to personal laptops is critical in strengthening students’ digital capabilities
and preparing them for the demands of the contemporary workforce.

Both
institutions also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration beyond
the donation, with plans to establish structured internship opportunities aimed
at providing students with practical industry experience.
