The
School of Engineering Sciences at the University of Ghana has announced a
strategic partnership with EsoG Africa aimed at advancing smart retail
innovation and strengthening student capacity in emerging technologies.
The
collaboration is expected to position the School as a hub for the development
and application of next-generation retail solutions, while providing students
with practical, hands-on experience in key areas such as automated retail
systems, digital payments, data analytics and real-world engineering
applications.
Through
the partnership, students will gain exposure to industry-driven innovation,
bridging the gap between academic training and practical implementation within
the evolving retail technology landscape.
The
initiative also reflects a broader effort to equip future engineers with the
technical skills and industry insights required to contribute to Ghana’s
digital transformation and the modernization of its retail sector.
