The
Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia
and the Namibian Competition Commission
have signed an addendum to their existing Memorandum of Understanding,
reinforcing regulatory cooperation within Namibia’s information and
communications technology (ICT) sector.
The updated agreement is aimed at enhancing
coordination between the two institutions in addressing anti-competitive
practices, improving the efficiency of complaint handling, and establishing a
structured framework for joint investigations and information sharing.

According to the regulators, the strengthened
collaboration will support more effective oversight of the ICT market, promote
fair competition, and ensure better outcomes for consumers and industry
stakeholders.
The move
reflects ongoing efforts to build a more transparent, competitive and
innovation-driven ICT ecosystem in Namibia.
