The
Ministry of Local Government (MINALOC) has conducted a training of trainers
session in Kigali as part of efforts to enhance digital service delivery and
strengthen engagement between citizens and local authorities.
The
training forms part of preparations for the nationwide rollout of the Mbaza
Platform, a digital solution designed to improve communication and transparency
in local governance. The initiative aims to equip local government staff with
the technical and operational skills required to effectively deploy and manage
the platform.

According
to MINALOC, the programme focuses on building the capacity of trainers who
will, in turn, support wider implementation across districts and communities.
The ministry noted that empowering staff with the necessary expertise is
critical to ensuring a responsive and citizen-centered administration.
The
rollout of the Mbaza Platform is expected to streamline interactions between
citizens and leadership, promote accountability, and support Rwanda’s broader
digital transformation agenda in public service delivery.
