Niger’s Minister of Communication and New Information Technologies, Adji Ali Salatou, has held a series of high-level bilateral meetings with Algerian officials on the sidelines of the Global Africa Tech event in Algeria, aimed at advancing strategic cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions focused on finalizing key cooperation agreements identified during the recent visit of Niger’s President, Abdourahamane Tiani, to Algeria, as well as outcomes from the Great Joint Cooperation Commission meeting held in Niamey.

The meetings form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and accelerate the implementation of joint initiatives in areas such as telecommunications, digital innovation, and economic development.

Officials emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration and coordination to translate agreements into tangible projects that support national and regional development objectives.

The engagements at Global Africa Tech underscore a shared commitment by Niger and Algeria to deepen partnerships and leverage digital technologies as a driver of economic transformation.
