The
University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) highlighted the participation of its
African Women in Tech & AI (AWITAI) program laureates at UNESCO’s AI Day,
held on March 26–27 at UNESCO Headquarters. The event focused on youth and
digital transformation, with an emphasis on Africa and South-South cooperation.

During
the “African Women in Tech & AI Showcase,” implemented in collaboration
with UNESCO and the OCP Foundation, AWITAI laureates presented AI-driven
solutions addressing health, water management, cybersecurity, and digital
inclusion. Their work underscored the importance of women’s leadership in
fostering inclusive technological ecosystems across the continent.

UM6P
commended its laureates for their contributions to international dialogue on
artificial intelligence and digital transformation, highlighting the
university’s commitment to promoting ethical, Africa-driven innovation and
entrepreneurship while strengthening women’s roles in technology leadership.
