Zambia has launched its “Wina Nyumba na MoMo” promotion, aimed at rewarding
mobile money users while promoting financial inclusion across the country.
The
launch event was attended by Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Mulenga
Chipoka, who highlighted the role of mobile money in expanding access to
financial services and creating opportunities for individuals, families, and
businesses.

The
promotion will see one winner receive a fully built house, alongside thousands
of cash prizes to be awarded nationwide. Customers can participate by
conducting transactions through the MoMo platform, including via the *115#
shortcode or the mobile application.
MTN
Zambia is collaborating with Micmar Zambia on the initiative, with the company
supporting the housing component of the promotion. The partnership is intended
to contribute to broader efforts to improve access to home ownership and
strengthen communities.

The
company said the campaign reinforces the growing importance of mobile money in
everyday financial activities while incentivizing usage through rewards and
practical benefits.
