Ghana has reaffirmed its strategic focus on ecosystem integration and
platform-driven growth following a high-level engagement between its leadership
and senior executives from the MTN Group.
Chief
Executive Officer Francis Gota hosted MTN Group Senior Vice President Ebenezer
Twum Asante for a strategic session that reviewed the company’s performance and
future direction.

Discussions
highlighted aYo Ghana’s growth trajectory and its impact on financial
inclusion, with the company reporting that it has insured more than 8.5 million
customers to date. The engagement also underscored the role of aYo as more than
a traditional insurance provider, positioning it as a platform within the
broader MTN ecosystem.
The
meeting emphasized opportunities to deepen integration across fintech and
connectivity platforms under the One MTN strategy, with a focus on delivering
seamless, bundled solutions that enhance customer value.

Leadership
noted that the next phase of growth will center on scaling impact through
closer collaboration within the MTN ecosystem, leveraging synergies between
digital services and insurance offerings to expand reach and improve customer
