Zimbabwe has participated in the Zimbabwe Annual Diaspora Conference held in
Gweru, joining government officials, diaspora representatives, and industry
leaders to promote collaboration, investment, and national development.
The
conference served as a strategic platform to strengthen ties between
Zimbabweans abroad and local stakeholders, with discussions focused on
unlocking opportunities for economic growth and fostering partnerships across
sectors.

TelOne
highlighted the importance of connectivity in bridging gaps between
communities, businesses, and institutions, noting its role in enabling the
exchange of ideas and supporting innovation-driven development. The company
also used the engagement to deepen relationships with diaspora stakeholders and
explore avenues for collaboration.
The
event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International
Trade, Hon. S. Chikomo, who served as Guest of Honor, underscoring the
government’s commitment to leveraging diaspora engagement as a key driver of
national development.

reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Zimbabwe’s socio-economic
transformation through strategic partnerships and the expansion of reliable
telecommunications infrastructure.
