The
Minister of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, Djibril Ouattara,
has sponsored the inauguration of the MASA 2026 Innovation Village at the
Palais de la Culture in Treichville, highlighting the growing convergence
between culture and digital innovation.

The
launch event was attended by First Lady Dominique Ouattara and the Minister of
Culture and Francophonie, Françoise Remarck.
Speaking
at the inauguration, the Minister emphasized the strategic importance of
digital technology in transforming cultural and creative industries, noting its
role in enabling African talent to access broader international markets.
He
reaffirmed the government’s ambition to position Côte d’Ivoire as a regional
hub for innovation, with particular focus on the development of the proposed
City of Innovation and Culture project.

The
Innovation Village is expected to serve as a platform for showcasing digital
creativity, fostering collaboration between artists, technologists, and
entrepreneurs, and supporting the integration of technology into the cultural
economy.
