The
Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is participating in the World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) ICT Leadership Dialogue, contributing
to global discussions on the future of intellectual property systems.
URSB
is represented at the high-level forum by its Commissioner for ICT and
Innovation, Arthur Kwesiga, who is engaging with international counterparts on
key issues shaping the evolution of IP administration.
The
dialogue has brought together ICT leaders from intellectual property offices
worldwide to examine digital transformation strategies, the integration of
artificial intelligence in IP systems, and policy frameworks governing data
management, sharing, and global IP infrastructure.

URSB
highlighted its ongoing investment in ICT-driven innovation, noting that its
digital transformation efforts have significantly improved the efficiency and
accessibility of registration services in Uganda.
The
Bureau’s modernization initiatives have positioned it as a regional model for
institutional reform, earning recognition for enhancing service delivery
through technology.
The
engagement at the WIPO dialogue underscores Uganda’s commitment to leveraging
digital solutions to strengthen intellectual property systems and align with
global best practices.
