Konza
Technopolis has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tharaka
University to enhnace collaboration in innovation, research, and digital
transformation within Kenya’s growing technology ecosystem.
The
partnership is expected to drive a series of joint initiatives including
hackathons, startup expos, incubation programmes, and the Jitume Digital
Enablement Programme, all aimed at enhancing digital skills, improving
employability, and supporting innovation-led economic growth.

According
to Konza Technopolis, the collaboration will also focus on co-developing
research in emerging technologies, piloting innovative solutions, and
accelerating their commercialisation to improve productivity and
competitiveness.
The
agreement further provides for structured exchange programmes between students
and faculty, enhanced knowledge sharing, and access to Konza’s advanced digital
infrastructure.
Both
institutions will also work together to promote sustainability and green
development practices as part of their broader innovation agenda.

The
partnership forms part of ongoing efforts to position Konza Technopolis as a
leading hub for technology, research, and digital innovation in the region.
