Orange has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to Africa and the Middle East with the rollout of its “Trust the Future” strategic plan, aimed at positioning digital technology as a key driver of inclusive and sustainable development across the region.

The strategy was outlined during a two-day leadership engagement in Casablanca, where senior executives and regional leaders convened to align priorities and strengthen collaboration around the company’s future direction.

At the core of the plan are three strategic pillars focused on building resilient and highly secure network infrastructure, advancing digital inclusion, and promoting responsible innovation. The initiative seeks to ensure that digital transformation efforts deliver tangible benefits across societies, particularly in underserved communities.

Company executives emphasized the importance of strengthening network security and reliability as digital services become increasingly central to economic and social systems. The plan also prioritizes expanding access to digital tools and services, with a focus on ensuring that no segment of the population is left behind in the transition to a digital economy.

In addition, Orange highlighted its commitment to responsible innovation, underscoring the need to integrate sustainability considerations into the development and deployment of new technologies.

Leadership acknowledged the role of coordinated efforts across markets in driving the strategy forward, noting that collaboration and shared vision would be critical to achieving impact at scale.

The company indicated that the roadmap developed during the Casablanca meeting would guide its operations in key markets, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as across the wider Africa and Middle East region.

Orange’s renewed strategic direction comes at a time when digital transformation is accelerating globally, with telecom operators playing an increasingly central role in enabling connectivity, innovation, and economic growth.
