Ivory Coast’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation has organised a capacity-building workshop on public procurement procedures aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in the management of public resources.

The workshop was initiated following an audit covering the 2023 and 2024 financial years, which identified the need to enhance the technical capabilities of credit managers involved in procurement processes.

The training focused on strengthening compliance with procurement regulations, improving financial oversight and promoting best practices in public sector resource management. Officials indicated that the initiative is part of broader efforts to reinforce accountability and ensure more effective utilisation of public funds.

Speaking at the event, the minister of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation Djibril Ouattara welcomed the initiative, noting that it contributes to advancing transparency, efficiency and good governance within public administration.

The ministry said the workshop forms part of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and aligning procurement practices with established regulatory standards.
