The
Ministry of ICT and Innovation Rwanda has marked the conclusion of the Hanga
SRH Innovation Programme, an initiative aimed at supporting African startups
developing solutions to improve access to maternal health information.
The
programme brought together ten ventures from across the continent, which spent
the past eleven months building and refining digital solutions designed to
support mothers with critical health information.

Speaking
at the closing event, Minister of State at the Ministry of ICT and Innovation, Yves
Iradukunda commended the participating founders for their resilience and
progress, particularly in the context of a challenging global funding
environment.
He
noted that while the programme has officially concluded, the journey for the
participating ventures is ongoing, with continued support expected as they
scale their solutions and expand their impact.

The
Hanga SRH Innovation Programme forms part of Rwanda’s broader efforts to
leverage technology and innovation to address key healthcare challenges and
improve outcomes for communities.
