Bayobab
has announced the appointment of Wanita Ramsubak as General Manager: Digital
Infrastructure Planning and Integration, effective 1 May 2026.
In
her new role, Ramsubak will report to Mazen Mroué and will be responsible for
strengthening strategic planning and integration across the company’s digital
infrastructure portfolio.
Ramsubak
brings extensive experience across the telecommunications sector, spanning
wholesale, enterprise, fixed, and mobile operations across Africa, the Middle
East, and the Americas. She joined MTN Group in 2018 as Senior Manager: Group
Strategy and Transformation and most recently served as General Manager:
Technology Infrastructure.
During
her tenure, she has led several key initiatives including the development of
MTN Group’s Science-Based Emissions Target under its Project Zero (Net Zero)
strategy, as well as programmes focused on energy efficiency, infrastructure
optimisation, and sustainability. She has also contributed to TowerCo
engagements, infrastructure monetisation strategies, and data centre resilience
planning.
Before
joining MTN, she worked at Delta Partners, where she rose to Team Lead,
advising on strategic and operational transformation projects across multiple
markets in the telecommunications and technology sector.
Commenting
on the appointment, Mazen Mroué said Ramsubak’s expertise in infrastructure
strategy, sustainability, and operational execution will be instrumental in
advancing the company’s Ambition 2030 objectives and unlocking greater value
across its infrastructure assets.
