The
National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), in collaboration with the
Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), has opened
applications for its 2026 Summer Internship Programme aimed at equipping
university students with practical digital and professional skills.
The
programme, which will be delivered both online and across NTI branches
nationwide, targets first-, second- and third-year students from a wide range
of disciplines including engineering, computer science, artificial
intelligence, commerce, mass communication, fine arts, applied arts, and
specific education.
According
to the organisers, the 120-hour programme combines 90 hours of technical
training and 30 hours dedicated to freelancing and soft skills development.
Training areas include cybersecurity, software development, data science, cloud
computing, system administration, artificial intelligence, electronics, digital
arts, and digital marketing.
The
initiative is designed to bridge academic learning with industry requirements,
while also strengthening students’ employability and readiness for the digital
economy.
Participants
who successfully complete the programme will receive certification from the
implementing institutions.
