ICT Authority, ODPP partner to promote digital transformation in Kenya’s justice sector

The ICT Authority and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) have reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and accelerate digital transformation within Kenya’s justice sector.

The discussions took place during a meeting led by ICT Authority Chief Executive Officer Jessy Maruti and Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Ingonga, bringing together senior officials from both institutions to review ongoing collaboration and identify new opportunities for partnership.

The engagement focused on key areas including secure government ICT infrastructure, digital skills development, cloud-based productivity solutions, data protection, systems integration, and the modernization of prosecutorial and administrative processes.

During the meeting, the ODPP acknowledged the ICT Authority’s support in providing ICT equipment, software solutions, technical capacity building, and the deployment of digital productivity tools such as Microsoft 365. The Authority has also supported the management and enhancement of institutional systems as part of broader digital transformation efforts.

The Director of Public Prosecutions highlighted the impact of the Uadilifu Case Management System, noting that the platform has improved efficiency in case tracking and management throughout thev prosecution process.

ICT Authority CEO Jessy Maruti commended the ODPP for its progress in digitization and reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting future system enhancements and innovative digital solutions aimed at improving public service delivery.c

As part of the partnership, the ICT Authority also presented laptops to the ODPP to support operational efficiency and strengthen the institution’s technological capacity.

The renewed collaboration is expected to further integrate technology into justice sector operations, enhance efficiency, and improve access to prosecution services for citizens across Kenya.
