The
Agence Nationale des Infrastructures Numériques et des Fréquences (ANINF) has
held a working session with a delegation from the World Bank to review progress
on the e-Gabon project and assess the implementation status of the Gabon
Digital programme.
The
meeting took place at the ANINF Tower and was led by the Director General of
ANINF, Mr. Alberto Mounguengui Moudoki. It formed part of a broader follow-up
mission focused on the closure phase of the e-Gabon project and the ongoing
execution of action plans under the Gabon Digital initiative.
Discussions
provided an opportunity for both parties to evaluate key milestones achieved
under the e-Gabon project, while also examining the current state of
implementation of digital transformation activities under Gabon Digital. Both
ANINF and World Bank representatives reviewed progress made and identified
priority areas for continued collaboration.
The
session was also marked by mutual appreciation between the two institutions for
their sustained cooperation, the engagement of technical teams, and the
outcomes achieved throughout the partnership.
According
to ANINF, the engagement aligns with national efforts to modernise public
administration and accelerate digital transformation in Gabon. These reforms
are being driven under the vision of President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema,
who has positioned digital development as a strategic pillar for economic
modernisation, administrative efficiency, and national sovereignty.
ANINF
reaffirmed that continued collaboration with development partners such as the
World Bank remains essential to advancing infrastructure development and
strengthening the country’s digital ecosystem.
The
institution reiterated its commitment to building a more connected and
digitally sovereign Gabon through sustained investment in digital
infrastructure and governance systems.
