MTN Uganda has contributed
UGX30 million towards celebrations marking the 12th Coronation Anniversary of
His Majesty Isebantu Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV of the Kingdom of
Busoga, reaffirming the company’s commitment to supporting Uganda’s cultural
heritage and communities.
The contribution was handed
over to Owek. Al-Hajj Ahmed Osman Noor, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Head
of Partnerships and Business at Busoga Kingdom, during a press briefing held
ahead of the celebrations.
The 12th Coronation
Anniversary will be commemorated on September 19, 2026, at the Mayuge District
Headquarters Grounds, bringing together stakeholders and communities to
celebrate Busoga’s heritage, identity and traditions.
MTN Uganda said its support
reflects the importance of partnering with cultural institutions and
communities to preserve and celebrate heritage that contributes to Uganda’s
social fabric.
The company congratulated
Obwa Kyabazinga bwa Busoga on the milestone and said it looks forward to
joining the Kingdom and its people in commemorating the occasion.
