The School of Engineering
Sciences has hosted a delegation from EV House LTD as part of efforts to
explore partnership opportunities in the area of electric mobility education
and research.
EV House LTD, a premium
electric vehicle and e-mobility solutions company, is focused on enabling
businesses, governments and consumers across Ghana and Africa to adopt electric
vehicles. The company is a subsidiary of Accra EV (GH) Ltd., which is working
towards the commercialisation and industrialisation of electric vehicles on the
continent.

The delegation was led by
Edward T. Hightower and accompanied by Chris Attipoe.
During the visit,
discussions centred on potential areas of collaboration between the company and
the School of Engineering Sciences, particularly in advancing innovation,
research and education in the growing e-mobility sector.
Dean of the School, Elsie
Effah Kaufmann, also test-drove one of the company’s electric vehicles and
described the experience as impressive.

The engagement forms part of
broader efforts to strengthen academia-industry collaboration in support of
sustainable transportation solutions and technological advancement within Ghana
and across Africa.
