ANCA-CERT welcomes DataProtect and Cybastion partnership to strengthen Africa’s cybersecurity resilience

ANCA-CERT
has welcomed the signing of a strategic partnership between DataProtect and
Cybastion aimed at strengthening cybersecurity resilience and advancing digital
sovereignty across Africa.
The
collaboration is expected to enhance cybersecurity capabilities on the
continent through capacity building, operational cooperation, and the
development of sustainable cyber resilience initiatives.
According
to ANCA-CERT, the partnership reflects a shared commitment by both
organizations to support stronger cyber defense mechanisms and improve
preparedness against evolving digital threats affecting African digital
systems.
The
initiative also seeks to contribute to long-term efforts to build a more secure
and resilient digital ecosystem across Africa, with emphasis on skills
development and coordinated operational frameworks.
Stakeholders
noted that strengthening cybersecurity remains a critical priority as African
countries continue to expand digital infrastructure and accelerate digital
transformation across both public and private sectors.
