Zamtel
has honoured former Minister of Technology and Science Felix Mutati for his
role in supporting the company’s transformation and turnaround efforts.
During
a recognition event held by the telecommunications company, Zamtel Chief
Executive Officer Jason Mwanza commended Mutati for his support of the
company’s strategic reforms and his commitment to advancing its recovery agenda
during his tenure in government.

According
to Mwanza, the former minister played an important role in championing the
company’s vision and supporting initiatives aimed at restoring operational and
financial stability.
Zamtel
Board Chairperson Anthony Undi also paid tribute to Mutati’s leadership,
describing him as a strong advocate for the use of technology to drive national
development and improve the lives of citizens.

In
his remarks at the event, Mutati reflected on Zamtel’s progress from insolvency
to profitability and encouraged employees to continue contributing to Zambia’s
digital transformation and inclusion agenda.
The
event highlighted the company’s broader efforts to strengthen its position
within Zambia’s telecommunications sector while expanding access to digital
services and connectivity nationwide.
