Kenya’s
President William Samoei Ruto has officiated the ongoing 19th Ambassadors’
Conference, bringing together diplomats and government officials to deliberate
on advancing the country’s national interests in an evolving geopolitical
environment.
The
conference serves as a platform for ambassadors and high commissioners to
review Kenya’s progress and explore opportunities across key sectors, including
food security, energy, infrastructure, security, intelligence, and science
diplomacy.

Speaking
on the sidelines of the event, Shaukat Abdulrazak, Principal Secretary in the
State Department for Science, Research and Innovation, emphasized the
importance of aligning diplomatic efforts with national development priorities.
He noted that strengthening collaboration and maintaining a proactive approach
would be critical in maximizing the country’s global engagements.
The
forum also aims to ensure that Kenya’s diplomatic corps remains well-informed
about domestic achievements and emerging opportunities, enabling them to
effectively promote the country’s economic, political, and cultural interests
abroad.

The
conference underscores Kenya’s commitment to leveraging diplomacy as a
strategic tool to support its ambition of becoming a globally competitive and
economically resilient nation.
