Côte
d’Ivoire has taken a significant step toward advancing its digital
transformation agenda with the opening of a strategic alignment seminar led by
Djibril Ouattara, Minister of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation.
The
seminar, held at the President Hotel in Yamoussoukro, brought together heads of
state institutions under the ministry’s supervision alongside key stakeholders
from the national digital ecosystem. The initiative aims to ensure coherence
and alignment in the implementation of digital transformation actions in line
with the government’s broader development vision.

Addressing
participants, Minister Ouattara stressed the central role of digital technology
as a catalyst for structural economic transformation, modernization of public
administration, and enhanced national competitiveness. He noted that the
alignment of institutional strategies is essential to delivering sustainable
growth and creating skilled employment opportunities.
Discussions
during the seminar are focused on harmonizing existing strategies and
programmes, including the National Digital Development Strategy, the National
Cybersecurity Strategy, the “Zero Paper by 2030” initiative, the National Data
Governance Strategy 2030, and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
The meeting is also reviewing donor-supported programmes such as PADCI and
PARAE, as well as strategic plans developed by agencies under the ministry.

The
seminar is expected to strengthen coordination across institutions, streamline
implementation efforts, and accelerate the country’s transition toward a
digitally driven economy.
