The
Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education has held
discussions with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to
strengthen cooperation aimed at improving school canteens and vocational
training institutions across the country.
The
meeting, held in Plateau, brought together Education Minister N’Guessan KOFFI
and KOICA Country Director Kim Sandjun, along with a delegation from the Korean
development agency.

The
discussions focused on enhancing support for the development of school feeding
programmes, particularly in the regions of Poro, Tchologo, Bagoué, and
Bounkani. The initiative is intended to improve students’ access to nutritious
meals and support school attendance and academic performance.
Both
parties also reviewed plans for the construction and rehabilitation of
Industrial Vocational High Schools, as well as the Vocational High School of
Fashion and Social Trades in Bouaké.

Special
attention was given to the development of training materials, which are
currently being produced with the support of Korean experts working in Bouaké.
The
engagement forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the education system and
improve learning conditions through international partnerships and targeted
investment in technical and vocational education.
