The SA Space-Tech Foundation
has highlighted new opportunities for partnerships, programmes, investments and
technology development following its participation in the AAD 2026 Exhibition,
where it showcased initiatives focused on space technology, climate resilience,
Earth observation and sustainable development.
The Foundation said the
exhibition provided an opportunity for productive engagements and discussions
around its programmes and projects in STEAM education, space technology,
climate change, Earth observation, disaster resilience and its integrated localised
Early Warning and Response System, DisasterWatch.
The organisation expressed
appreciation to everyone who visited, engaged with and supported its stand
during AAD 2026, saying the interactions created opportunities for
collaboration across several areas of its work.
The Foundation also extended
special appreciation to CEO Mudau and the South African National Space Agency
(SANSA) for providing it with a platform within the SANSA Pavilion, the SA
Space Hub.
According to the Foundation,
the platform enabled it to showcase its work while highlighting the broader
contribution that South Africa’s space ecosystem can make to sustainable
development, climate resilience, innovation, education and national priorities.
The Foundation said it now
looks forward to translating the conversations initiated during AAD 2026 into
meaningful partnerships, programmes, investments, technology development and
measurable impact.
