The Kenya Space Agency (KSA)
has participated in the signing ceremony for the FY 2026/27 Performance
Contract for Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) under Kenya’s Ministry
of Defence.
The ceremony was held on
Tuesday, 22 September 2026, at the Defence Headquarters and was presided over
by Cabinet Secretary for Defence Hon. Soipan Tuya.
The FY 2026/27 Performance
Contracts provide a clear roadmap for service delivery, accountability,
efficiency and the achievement of measurable results across the Ministry of
Defence.
The Kenya Space Agency
delegation to the ceremony was led by Maj Gen (Rtd) Joff Otieno, Chairman of
the KSA Board of Directors.
He was accompanied by the
Director General of the Kenya Space Agency, Maj Gen Hillary Kipkosgey, and the
Chairperson of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee, Captain Munanie
Mbatha.
The signing forms part of
the government’s performance management framework for SAGAs under the Ministry
of Defence, with the contracts setting out expectations and measurable results
for the 2026/27 financial year.
