TNM and Huawei target digital services, AI and connectivity expansion in Malawi

Telekom Networks Malawi PLC (TNM) and Huawei are planning to advance digital services, artificial intelligence and internet connectivity in Malawi as part of their ambitions for 2027.

The two companies said their plans are focused on using innovative technologies and strategic collaboration to support Malawi’s digital development and expand access to digital opportunities.

The collaboration is expected to focus on advancing digital services while exploring the application of artificial intelligence and improving internet connectivity across the country.

TNM and Huawei said the initiatives will seek to empower businesses, enhance customer experiences and connect communities through expanded access to digital technologies.

The companies also aim to unlock new opportunities for businesses and communities as Malawi continues its digital transformation.

The partnership positions connectivity, digital services and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence as key areas of focus for the companies’ plans towards 2027.

According to TNM, the broader objective is to contribute to a smarter and more digitally inclusive Malawi through technology innovation and strategic collaboration.
