The Communications Authority
of Kenya (CA) has convened the 56th In-Person National KE-CIRT/CC Cybersecurity
Committee (NKCC) Meeting in Nairobi, bringing together stakeholders from
Kenya’s critical information infrastructure sectors.
The meeting provided a
platform for stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to share
insights on emerging cyber threats, strengthen information sharing and enhance
coordinated incident response.
Discussions at the meeting
emphasised the need for greater preparedness, capacity building and
collaboration to protect Kenya’s critical information infrastructure and
strengthen national cyber resilience.
The engagement brought
together stakeholders with a shared focus on strengthening Kenya’s ability to
anticipate, respond to and manage cybersecurity threats affecting critical
information infrastructure.
Through the National
KE-CIRT/CC and NKCC, the Communications Authority continues to coordinate
efforts aimed at building a safer and more secure digital ecosystem for
Kenyans.
The Authority said continued
collaboration and information sharing among stakeholders remain important to
strengthening the country’s overall cybersecurity preparedness and resilience.
