The Royal Bafokeng Institute has been officially launched in South Africa through a partnership involving Liquid Intelligent Technologies South Africa and Cassava Technologies, in a move aimed at strengthening skills development and innovation in the country’s technology sector.

The launch event brought together industry leaders, including the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Communications and Technology (ACT), Nomvuyiso Batyi, who attended the ceremony and welcomed the initiative as a step toward building future-ready talent.

The programme was hosted by master of ceremonies Lubabalo Dyanti of Deviare, while Cassava Technologies Chief Executive Officer Ziaad Suleman delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of innovation and the evolving future of technology in South Africa.

The initiative is designed to support the development of digital skills and leadership capacity, with a focus on preparing young people for opportunities in the technology-driven economy.

Organisers said the partnership reflects a broader commitment to collaboration between industry and institutions to drive sustainable impact through technology and education.
